Not only did Vin teach me how to play the drum set from the ground up, he also ingrained in me a sense of confidence in myself and my music. Vin's strengths lie in his ability to adapt his teaching style to make sense for drummers of all skill levels. For instance, if Vin noticed I was struggling with a skill, he wouldn't hesitate to flip the lesson on its head and explain it to me from a different angle. He kept lessons varied, and some days we focused on music textbook reading, while others we would put theory into action, throw on my favorite songs, and rock out! Vin also brings charisma to every lesson, and made sure that learning music was fun above all else - never a chore. I highly recommend Vincent Mott for music education. He is a top notch musician with great personality and charisma. His teaching methods are very effective as he is a truly trained music professional.
Both of my children had the opportunity to learn with Vincent for many years and they both had the greatest experience. They started lessons back in 2012 and have retained all that they have learned. Vincent is a well rounded music professional. I will never forget how he taught my 9 year old daughter how to sing the National Anthem that she was asked to sing at a big Boxing event. She nailed it and we were so grateful for Vin's help. My son who has special needs learned an entire season of the Doors under Vin's direction at the School of Rock. It was one of the best seasons he ever had as Vin is great with kids!
My children are now 19 and 22 and are both in a successful Blues Band together. Since they are grown up, they love to go to see Vin Mott live and it is always a wonderful experience. He is inspiring for them to watch. We are seriously grateful for all they learned with Vincent Mott and continue to follow his music.
